Islamabad, The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has entered into a partnership with the National Commission for Human Rights (NCHR) by signing a Memorandum of Understanding. This collaboration is focused on enhancing academic and research activities related to human rights within Pakistan.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the MoU between HEC and NCHR will facilitate the development of human rights education among academia, researchers, and students. It will also promote human rights literacy through various media channels and support the establishment of dedicated human rights study centers across the country.
The initiative aims to conduct meaningful academic research to foster a culture that respects and values human rights. The two bodies plan to create and disseminate digital content to raise awareness about human rights laws and instruments on a wider scale. This strategic alliance underscores the commitment of both organizations to integrating human rights education within Pakistan’s educational framework.
