Heatstroke Claims Life of Young Man from Jammu and Kashmir in New Delhi

New Delhi, A 26-year-old man from the Jehangirpura area of Baramulla district in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir died of heatstroke in his New Delhi apartment, amid an ongoing heatwave. The young man was living near the Dwarka metro station at the time of his death.

According to Kashmir Media Service, the man, identified as Younis Nazir of Jehangirpura Shakwara, was taken to a nearby hospital after collapsing in his residence but was pronounced dead upon arrival. Nazir was employed at HP electronics company in New Delhi, and his unexpected death has left his family in shock.

The incident highlights the severe impact of the current heatwave affecting the region, prompting concerns about public health and safety during extreme weather conditions.
