Health Minister Joins Taraweeh Prayer Ceremony at College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan

Lahore, Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Salman Rafique was the special guest at the Taraweeh prayer ceremony held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, emphasizing the significance of unity and spirituality during the holy month of Ramadan. The event, marked by the completion of the Quran in Taraweeh prayers, was attended by notable figures in the medical and health sector, including former Caretaker Health Minister Prof. Dr. Javed Akram.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Punjab, the ceremony was orchestrated by Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal, President of the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and Vice Chancellor of Fatima Jinnah Medical University. Distinguished attendees included Transport Minister Bilal Akbar Khan, Vice Chancellor of King Edward Medical University Prof. Dr. Mahmood Ayaz, and several faculty members, highlighting the event’s significance in the medical community.

During the ceremony, Minister Rafique expressed his hopes for the nation’s blessings during Ramadan and acknowledged the unique opportunity the holy month presents for Muslims to seek divine grace. He also reflected on Pakistan’s current challenges and reiterated the commitment under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s leadership to serve the people effectively.

Prof. Dr. Khalid Masood Gondal expressed his gratitude towards Minister Rafique and Prof. Dr. Javed Akram for their participation, emphasizing the ceremony’s spiritual importance and its role in fostering a sense of community among the attendees.
