Hajj Policy 2024 Awaiting Federal Cabinet Approval, Features Noted

Islamabad, 15 Oct 2023: The Caretaker Minister for Religious Affairs, Aneeq Ahmad, has announced that the Hajj Policy for 2024 is nearing completion and will soon be presented to the federal cabinet for endorsement.

In a discussion with Faisal Zahid Malik, Chairman of the Pakistan Observer in Islamabad, Ahmad highlighted several features of the upcoming Hajj Policy. These include options for a shorter pilgrimage stay, the integration of QR codes, and the provision of a mobile phone SIM card with video call capabilities lasting for a 45-day period.

Additionally, Ahmad remarked that discussions are underway with the Saudi government, focusing on various matters, notably the number of pilgrims. He reiterated the government’s intention to supply a 45-day mobile SIM, emphasizing its video call function.
