Islamabad: Today marks the final opportunity for aspiring pilgrims to submit their applications for the government’s Hajj scheme. Designated financial institutions, following the central bank’s directive, will operate until 2:30 PM. The Ministry of Religious Affairs’ online platform will accept submissions until midnight.
A ministry representative confirmed that the government program has already received 108,000 applications.

Pakistan Navy Launches Third Hangor-Class Submarine In China
Islamabad: Pakistan Navy celebrated the launch of its third Hangor-class submarine, PNS-M Mangro, in China. Deputy Chief of Naval Staff Project-2, Vice Admiral Abdul Samad, graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Vice Admiral Samad underscored the Pakistan Navy’s dedication to protecting national interests and fostering a secure maritime domain.
He stated that the Hangor-class vessels will be crucial for regional equilibrium, peace, and stability.
The admiral highlighted the project’s significance in strengthening Pakistan-China relations.
Pakistan inked a deal with China for eight Hangor-class submarines.
Four of these underwater warships will be constructed in China, while the other four will be built at the Karachi Shipyard through a technology transfer agreement.
These submarines will be fitted with advanced weaponry and sensors for long-range target engagement.
