Rawalpindi, October 20, 2021 (PPI-OT):H.E Mr Stefano Pontecorvo, Senior Civil Representative NATO called on General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) at GHQ, today. During the meeting, matters related to mutual interest, peace and stability in the region and Afghanistan situation were discussed. COAS said that there is a need for global convergence on Afghanistan to avoid humanitarian crisis.
The visiting dignitary appreciated Pakistan’s role in Afghan situation including successful evacuation operations and efforts for regional stability. He also assured to enhance cooperation with Pakistan on Afghanistan and regular engagement by the NATO countries for all bilateral issues.
