Gwadar Officials Convene to Address Land Overlaps and Accelerate Development Projects

Gwadar: In a significant meeting chaired by Senior Member Board of Revenue Kimber Dashti, key officials gathered to address the urgent issues of land overlapping and the digitization of land records in Gwadar district, particularly focusing on Gwadar and Jiuni tehsils. The meeting aimed to clarify land ownership and hasten development efforts in the region.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the session was attended by Commissioner Makran Daud Khan Khalji, Senior Secretary Board of Revenue Nasrullah Tareen, Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman, Settlement Officer Makran Region, and other relevant officers. The officials identified problems concerning approximately 2500 acres of land. Mir Qamber Dashti, Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, imposed a specific deadline for resolving these issues to ensure the public receives timely and accurate information about their land holdings.

The discussion extended to the digitization of land records, a move directed by the Board of Revenue to enhance the services provided to the community. The meeting also covered detailed deliberations on the land disputes and overlapping issues in various areas including Ankada (North and South), Girandani, Chitti (North and South), Ziarat Machi (East and West), Jorkan, Vishin Dur, and Shankani Dur. Solutions to these problems are anticipated to expedite ongoing development projects within Gwadar.

Furthermore, the meeting addressed the specifics of land records in different wards of Gwadar city, discussing problems related to overlapping, sea erosion, and others. The wards in focus included Nguri Ward and Ghazrawan Ward. Other topics such as the settlement report of Chatani Bill and revenue issues in Piso, Shabi, Grundani, Sarbandan, and Thana wards were also examined, with directives issued to resolve them promptly.

This crucial meeting not only strives to resolve the land-related issues in Gwadar district but also aims to bolster the ongoing development projects, making the growth of Gwadar more efficient and swift. The primary goal is to provide the populace with clear and timely information regarding their lands, thus facilitating better governance and development outcomes.
