Gwadar: In an effort to enhance environmental conditions, the coastal city of Pasni in Balochistan has initiated a weekly cleaning campaign. Spearheaded by Assistant Commissioner Mahim Khan Gachki, the campaign aims to improve the living standards of the area through regular cleanliness drives. The initiative, which began on the orders of Deputy Commissioner Gwadar Hamudur Rahman, saw the participation of key local figures, including the Chairman of the Tehsil Municipal Committee and the Tehsildar of Pasni.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the campaign garnered support from various community leaders and local dignitaries. Their involvement not only underscored the campaign’s significance but also helped draw public attention to the importance of maintaining cleanliness. During the launch, Assistant Commissioner Gachki emphasized the cultural and health implications of a clean environment, stating, “Cleanliness is half faith, and a clean environment is the basis of any social development.” He advocated for community-wide participation and responsibility in keeping residential and public areas clean.
The campaign also includes educational components, aimed at raising awareness about the adverse effects of littering and promoting sanitation practices. Assistant Commissioner Gachki highlighted the broader health implications of dirt and pollution, linking them to both physical and spiritual ailments. He called on the community to actively participate in keeping their surroundings clean and to engage in ongoing sanitation awareness efforts.
