Gwadar Launches Free Ambulance Service at Pak-Iran Border

Gwadar: Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rehman has spearheaded the introduction of a free ambulance service at the 250 border, enhancing emergency medical support for visitors and locals alike. This initiative is part of broader efforts to improve healthcare accessibility in the region, specifically targeting the poor and deserving patients who require immediate medical interventions during emergencies.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, “The service operates around the clock, providing first aid and, if necessary, transportation to major hospitals in Gwadar for further treatment. Jamal Rahim, the in-charge of the service, reported that two emergency admissions occurred just yesterday, and approximately 250 patients have been transported to the GDA Hospital Pak-China for treatment since the service’s extension to this border area.” This initiative not only reflects a significant step towards better health provisions but also underscores the local government’s commitment to public welfare.
