Gwadar: Following a surge of complaints from civil society and local citizens, Assistant Commissioner Gwadar, Mir Jawad Ahmad Zahri, conducted an emergency inspection of the city’s futsal ground, which has seen deterioration due to lack of maintenance.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the futsal ground, managed and initially constructed by the District Administration, is set for significant repairs and improvements. Assistant Commissioner Zahri has announced the formation of a new committee dedicated to the upkeep of the facility, ensuring its future condition meets community standards.
During his visit, Zahri engaged with young players and children, underscoring the crucial role of sports in education and societal health. He elaborated on the benefits of sports, including mental and physical well-being, and its necessity for developing resilience and creativity within the community.
Zahri reiterated the commitment of Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rehman to bolster educational and sports facilities as a top priority, signaling the forthcoming construction work on the futsal ground as a vital step towards this goal.
