Quetta: The Director General of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Balochistan, Nauman Aslam, has announced comprehensive cooperation for the development of the Gwadar Industrial Zone and the promotion of trade activities in the region. He emphasized Gwadar’s potential as a trade gateway that could play a significant role in the economic development of Balochistan and Pakistan.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Nauman Aslam made these remarks during a briefing given by Managing Director Jeda Farid Muhammad Hassani at the Gwadar Industrial Estate Development Authority office. He highlighted that the Prime Minister of Pakistan and the federal government are focused on the development of Gwadar and improving the quality of life for the residents of the coastal Makran area. Following the completion of Gwadar International Airport, attention has shifted to ensuring the timely completion of other significant projects in the area.
Aslam assured that recommendations regarding the expansion and development projects of the Industrial Zone will be conveyed to the Prime Minister. He stated that with the operational activities of the Economic Industrial Zone, along with Gwadar Port and the International Airport, Gwadar is set to become the focal point of economic activities in the region. This development is expected to benefit the people of Balochistan and Pakistan.
Furthermore, Nauman Aslam mentioned that NAB has established a Business Facilitation Cell at its headquarters in Islamabad and a Business Facilitation Desk in all regional NAB bureaus to enhance coordination with the business community. These initiatives aim to create a conducive environment for conducting business, and they are actively functioning in NAB Balochistan. The Chairman of NAB has also engaged with the business community in Gwadar, marking part of ongoing efforts to facilitate and promote business activities in the region.
