Gwadar: The free ambulance service in Gwadar, aimed at assisting poor and needy patients, is operating smoothly under the guidance of Commissioner Makran Daud Khan Khalji and Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman. The service, which is crucial for transporting emergency and intensive care patients to better-equipped facilities in Karachi for advanced diagnosis and treatment, has recently facilitated numerous such transfers from GDA Hospital.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Jamal Rahim, the in-charge of the ambulance service, reported that many patients in critical condition have been moved to Karachi, ensuring they receive the necessary medical care. The Deputy Commissioner has expressed satisfaction with the performance of the service. In a recent meeting, it was decided that patients would only be transferred to other hospitals after receiving a referral from GDA Hospital, which is managed by Indus Hospital.
The initiative aims to provide continuous, transparent, and quality medical assistance to the district’s most vulnerable populations. This effort reflects the dedication of both Commissioner Khalji and Deputy Commissioner Rahman in providing essential healthcare services to their community. The free ambulance service not only facilitates the rapid transfer of patients in need of urgent care but also significantly contributes to saving lives and enhancing treatment outcomes.
