Gwadar: World Space Week 2024 unfolded with fervor at Grammar School where a host of participants including teachers, students, and notable figures from various sectors gathered to witness the array of student-led projects and competitions. The event showcased a range of innovative projects and models, culminating in a series of competitions that highlighted the creativity and ingenuity of the participants.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the Project and Model Competition drew considerable attention, featuring judges Ms. Shahana Shoaib and Ms. Naveeda, who are lecturers at Girls Degree College Gwadar. They meticulously evaluated the entries, with the results set to be announced at the closing ceremony. Further excitement was added by the quiz competition finalists Shahdad, Samiullah, Hanifa, and Amna, alongside the upcoming semi-finals of the spelling competition scheduled for Friday.
The exhibition was graced by prominent local figures such as Majid Johar, Haji Syed Muhammad, and former municipal leaders, alongside financial and educational dignitaries. It provided a platform for students from several educational institutions, including Girls Degree College and The Oasis School, to engage with space science themes intensely.
The event also drew significant attention from the media and well-known social and political personalities, underscoring its importance in fostering scientific curiosity and awareness among the youth of Gwadar.
