Gwadar: Following an incident at Kantani Hor where several individuals suffered due to extreme sunlight and overcrowding, Assistant Commissioner Gwadar Mir Jawad Ahmad Zehri conducted a critical site visit to assess and mitigate the risks faced by workers and locals. The visit, ordered by Deputy Commissioner Hamoud-ur-Rehman, aimed to prevent future health issues related to environmental exposure.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Assistant Commissioner Zehri engaged directly with local labor leaders to understand their challenges and promptly announced the installation of tents and sheds at Kantani Hor and its entry points. These measures are intended to shield workers and visitors from the harsh weather conditions prevalent in the area. Further efforts to improve the working conditions include providing access to clean drinking water and coolers, ensuring that all laborers and poor residents can perform their duties comfortably and safely without health risks from the climate.
