Gwadar: In a significant move to streamline border control and enhance security measures, Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman has issued new directives for pilgrims traveling to Iran. These instructions mandate that pilgrims must return via the Taftan border and strictly prohibit the use of the Jiuni Gabad Ramadan border for re-entry into Pakistan.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the press release emphasized that any violations of this directive would result in strict legal consequences. The release also stated that customs and Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) clearance would only be granted at the Taftan border. Pilgrims attempting to re-enter through Jiuni Gabad Ramadan border would be denied clearance and redirected to Taftan. This measure aims to prevent complications and ensure a smoother process for the pilgrims.
The Deputy Commissioner’s office has urged all pilgrims to adhere to these new guidelines to avoid any legal issues and to facilitate an orderly management of cross-border traffic during religious travels. This step is part of broader efforts by local authorities to maintain order and ensure safety at the borders.
