Gwadar: Under the direction of Commissioner Makran Daud Khan Khalji and Deputy Commissioner Hamudur Rahman, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Sarbland Khan recently inspected the ongoing Safe City project at Mulla Fazil Chowk, a critical commercial hub in Gwadar plagued by severe waterlogging during the monsoon season. This visit aimed to expedite the construction efforts addressing the frequent flooding that disrupts daily commerce and transportation in the area.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Khan expressed concerns over the slow pace of the development works during his site visit, noting that delays could prolong the hardships faced by local citizens and businesses. He issued strict instructions to the involved officers and contractors to quicken the project’s completion given its significance in enhancing urban infrastructure and residents’ quality of life.
The reconstruction of Mulla Fazil Chowk, part of the broader Safe City Project, is intended not only to improve the area’s drainage system but also to enhance its aesthetic appeal, facilitating smoother business operations even during adverse weather. Khan reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring the timely execution of all development projects, promising that the ongoing efforts would soon culminate in substantial relief for the community and boost the city’s overall development.
