Paris: A grand ceremony was organized at the residence of Zahid Hashmi in Paris, the capital of France, on August 5, 2024, to mark Kashmir Exploitation Day. The event’s special guest was Azad Kashmir Presidential Adviser Sardar Imtiaz Ahmed Khan. Adan Chaudhry commenced the ceremony by reciting the Holy Quran. The speakers at the event rejected India’s actions of August 5, 2019, and called for the right to self-determination for Kashmiris, demanding the withdrawal of 11 lakh Hindu troops from Kashmir.
According to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the ceremony featured speeches emphasizing the unacceptable nature of India’s actions against Kashmiris’ rights. Presidential Adviser Sardar Imtiaz Ahmad Khan declared that Kashmiris remain resolute in their struggle for freedom and lauded the efforts of Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Barrister Sultan Mahmood Chaudhry for his dedication to the cause.
Zahid Hashmi, president of the International Kashmir Peace Forum and host of the event, noted that celebrations supporting Kashmir are taking place globally. Hashmi pointed out that in Jammu and Ladakh, where Hindu populations are significant, there is growing support for Pakistan due to India’s violations of basic human rights.
Other speakers at the event included Chaudhry Tanveer Ali, Safdar Hashmi, Raja Tahir, MK Parvez Chaudhry, Chaudhry Arif, Samina Hashmi, Asifa Hashmi, Ashraf Gondal, Bilal Muhammad Khan, Zahid Mustafa Awan, Javed Ahmed, and Moeed Ahmed. The ceremony concluded with prayers for the independence of Pakistan, Palestine, and the Muslim Ummah.
