Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has emphasized the government’s commitment to advancing digitization as a means to enhance transparency. During a news conference in Islamabad, he was joined by Minister for National Food Security Rana Tanveer Hussain and Minister for Information Technology Shaza Fatima.
Ahsan Iqbal highlighted the Ramadan Relief Package as a significant step towards integrating deserving individuals into the digital economy. Under this initiative, each eligible family received a direct cash transfer of five thousand rupees.
Rana Tanveer Hussain described this year’s Ramadan Relief Package as innovative due to its direct cash transfer approach, ensuring assistance reaches those in need efficiently.
Shaza Fatima outlined the government’s broader efforts to digitize citizen services, aiming to streamline processes and improve accessibility. She noted that digitization could enhance revenue collection and contribute to economic strengthening.
