Islamabad, July 14, 2021 (PPI-OT):The government has decided to launch “Kamyab Pakistan” program on 29th of this month to pull four million families out of poverty. The decision was taken at a meeting between Finance Minister Shaukat Tarin and Special Assistant on Youth Affairs Usman Dar in Islamabad on Wednesday. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib was also present on the occasion.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will launch the government’s largest public welfare program at a ceremony in Islamabad. Speaking on the occasion, Shaukat Tarin said Kamyab Pakistan program will encompass housing projects, skill development, soft loans, health cards and agricultural services. He said a comprehensive plan has been prepared to bring four million families out of poverty.
Usman Dar said billions of rupees have been earmarked for the program. He said interest loans up to five hundred thousand rupees will be provided under the program. He said one member of a family will be imparted technical education. In addition, he said, people from across the country will be included in the low cost housing scheme. He said a mechanism has also been developed to help the low-income people through micro-financing.
