Islamabad, July 29, 2022 (PPI-OT):The government has decided to deploy civil armed forces in the provinces, Azad Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan to ensure law and order during Muharram. A decision to this effect was taken at a high-level meeting held in Islamabad on Friday with Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in the chair.
The meeting was informed that a Control Room will be established to monitor the security situation during Muharram. Besides, special teams will be formed for the security of Muharram processions and gatherings. The meeting also decided to ensure strict monitoring of social media to prevent spread of hate material through digital platforms.
