Islamabad, September 12, 2023 (PPI-OT): Caretaker Minister for Energy Muhammad Ali says the government is taking concrete measures to provide relief to the people, especially the business and trade community, regarding electricity and gas supply.
Addressing a news conference in Karachi, he said being under the IMF program, the government is facing a lot of constraints in lowering the electricity tariff.
However, he said the government is identifying viable measures to provide relief to the masses and a special tariff will be announced by the end of October for the business and trade community.
The Minister said steps are being taken to ensure gas supply to the business and trade community in winters and they will soon hear good news about this.
