Islamabad, Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal announced the government’s intensified focus on strategic planning within the health and education sectors, responding to the challenges posed by Pakistan’s rapidly growing population. Speaking at a certificate distribution ceremony for the Intelligent Project Automation System in Islamabad, the Minister highlighted the urgency of embracing global technological advancements to remain competitive on the world stage.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Iqbal stressed the necessity for all ministries and governmental departments to develop and implement strategies aligned with the ‘five E framework’—exports, energy, E-Pakistan, environment, and equity and empowerment. This initiative aims to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach towards national development objectives, particularly in critical areas such as health and education that directly impact the country’s socio-economic fabric.
Furthermore, the Minister disclosed plans for the complete automation of the Planning Ministry within the next six months, signaling a significant shift towards streamlining operations and enhancing efficiency through technology.
This move underscores the government’s commitment to not only address the immediate needs arising from population growth but also to lay the groundwork for sustainable development by leveraging technological innovation and strategic planning.
