Govt Focuses on Global Skills Training for Workforce, Says PM Shehbaz Sharif

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the Government’s focus on equipping Pakistan’s workforce with internationally recognized skills and training during a meeting with the Association Of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) delegation.

In discussions with the seven-member ACCA team, led by Global Chief Executive Helen Brand, the Prime Minister emphasized the importance of developing the country’s young workforce. He noted that Pakistan is fortunate to have a talented pool of young individuals and that the Government is committed to enabling them to reach their full potential.

The Prime Minister outlined that improving governance and equipping young workers are among the Government’s top priorities. He mentioned that third-party validation is integrated into every public sector project to enhance transparency and governance.

Shehbaz Sharif also acknowledged the recent improvement in Pakistan’s rating by Fitch, viewing it as a positive development, but stressed the need for continued hard work.

He suggested that the ACCA could play a pivotal role in providing professional training to Pakistani workers, thereby enhancing their competitiveness on the global stage.
