Karachi: Sindh Governor Mohammed Kamran Khan Tessori commemorated October 27, 1947, as one of the darkest days in South Asian history, marking the date when Indian forces entered Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK). This day is observed annually as Kashmir’s Black Day, reflecting on decades of conflict and resistance in the region.
According to Kashmir Media Service, in his statement, Governor Tessori highlighted the enduring struggle of the Kashmiri people against Indian oppression. Despite severe tactics employed by Indian forces, he noted that the spirit and resolve of the Kashmiris have not been diminished. The ongoing fight for self-determination is fueled by countless sacrifices made over the years.
Governor Tessori emphasized the need for immediate global attention to the human rights violations occurring in IIOJK. He called on the United Nations and the international community to take decisive actions to address the injustices faced by the Kashmiri people.
