Karachi, November 15, 2022 (PPI-OT):Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tessori visited Olympian Islahuddin and Dr. MA Shah Hockey Academy North Nazimabad and reviewed the various departments of the academy. The organizers gave a detailed briefing to Governor Sindh regarding the academy.
Captain and coach and spirit of the academy Islahuddin, former Olympian Qamar Ibrahim, Sameer Ali, Muhammad Ali and others were also present. Governor Sindh said that hockey is a national sport and the measures are commendable for it.
While appreciating the facilities provided in the academy, Governor Sindh said that high quality players can be prepared by training youth in hockey, in this regard, for the national sport. North Nazimabad Hockey Academy will prove to be important, more such academy will give more boost to hockey.
Governor Sindh said that he congratulates the team for winning the bronze medal in the Azlan Shah Hockey Tournament after 11 years and will soon invite the team to the Governor House of the national hockey team.
