Karachi, March 28, 2023 (PPI-OT): Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesuri has said that due to severe inflation at this time, the white-clad family has been badly affected. In this context, the powers of price control inspectors should also be given to the administrators. He expressed these views while addressing the press conference at the Governor House.
Governor Sindh further said that while the general class is affected by inflation, the conditions of government employees have also worsened, so I am writing a letter to the Chief Minister of Sindh to increase the salaries of employees by 30 to 35 percent.
Similarly, in the next budget, at least I am also suggesting to make the minimum wage 50 thousand rupees. He said that all the stakeholders have objections to the committee set up with reference to the regularization of Goths, in this regard, he has written a letter to the Chief Minister of Sindh asking him to reconsider the matter.
He said that efforts to stop inflation and ensure essential commodities at fixed prices are the most important requirement of the time. In this regard, like in the past, a new price list should be set within 48 hours and the price list should be arranged by going to the vegetable market.
In response to a question, the Governor Sindh said that the main reason for the high cost of fruits is the owners of orchards. He said that at this time the situation is getting worse and it is our moral responsibility to support the poor people, so I am appealing to the philanthropists to come forward in this difficult time and help their brothers who are in trouble. It has to be done and the price list should be arranged by going to the vegetable market.
