Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri inaugurated an anti-polio campaign aimed at vaccinating children up to five years of age. The campaign’s launch took place at the Governor House, with several government officials and parents in attendance.
According to Sindh Governor House, the event saw the participation of DGHEC Nauman Ahsan, DC South Altaf Sario, Assistant Commissioner Sadar Zara Zahid, and parents of children to be vaccinated. Governor Tesuri emphasized the crucial role of all stakeholders in ensuring the success of the polio campaign. He urged for maximum effort in administering polio drops to children, highlighting the importance of protecting them from the debilitating and life-long effects of polio.
The Governor stressed that polio, being a contagious and crippling disease, necessitates a collective responsibility to make the vaccination campaign successful. This initiative is a part of ongoing efforts to eradicate polio and safeguard children’s health in the province.
