Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesuri emphasized the significance of the sacrifices made by forefathers for the country’s freedom and underscored the importance of protecting it at all costs. He shared these views during a ceremony at the Governor House on Iqbal Day, where many children participated. The event featured youth speeches on the poetry and philosophy of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, known as the poet of the East and the thinker of Pakistan. Governor Sindh expressed his happiness at seeing the children, referring to them as his dearest guests.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesuri highlighted Iqbal’s vision for Pakistan, which was realized through the relentless efforts of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and other leaders. He noted the current freedom and independence enjoyed by Pakistanis, contrasting it with the plight of Palestinians who lack a protective force like Pakistan’s armed forces. He praised the armed forces for ensuring the country’s security and independence, stating that no one could threaten Pakistan due to their vigilance.
Governor Tesuri further remarked on the historical struggle for independence from India and the ongoing attempts by India to weaken Pakistan. He reaffirmed that such efforts fail due to the capable and resilient Pakistani armed forces, which can thwart any adversarial ambitions.
