Governor Sindh Highlights Importance of Braille on International Braille Day

Karachi, Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, has shared a message of appreciation and recognition on the occasion of International Braille Day, highlighting the significant impact of Louis Braille’s invention on the lives of visually impaired people around the world.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori praised Louis Braille for his role in enhancing the lives of visually impaired individuals, describing him as a true hero. He noted that Braille’s invention has enabled blind people globally to access education and information, making it a crucial tool for their empowerment.

The Governor remarked on the widespread adoption of the Braille code, which has been adapted into various languages, thereby facilitating literacy and information accessibility for countless people. In his message, Tesori emphasized that the visually impaired, through the use of the Braille system, are not only able to pursue education but also access other forms of information.

He also pointed out that visually impaired people in Pakistan are benefiting from the Braille system. Governor Tesori acknowledged the capabilities of visually impaired individuals, stating that they are in no way less capable than others and are making significant contributions in various fields.
