Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesuri has highlighted the importance of sacrifices made for the freedom of Pakistan, stating that the country’s independence is intertwined with the blood of forefathers and that no sacrifice will be avoided to protect it. This was conveyed during a function at the Governor House on the occasion of Iqbal Day, which saw a large participation of children.
According to Sindh Governor House, the youth at the event delivered speeches on the poetry and philosophy of Dr. Allama Muhammad Iqbal, known as the poet of the East and the thinker of Pakistan. Governor Tesuri expressed his happiness at seeing the young attendees, calling them his dearest guests. He reflected on Iqbal’s dream of Pakistan and the relentless struggle led by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah to achieve it, emphasizing the hard work and risks undertaken by leaders of that era.
Governor Tesuri further remarked on the current freedom enjoyed by the people of Pakistan, urging a reflection on global situations such as in Palestine, where children suffer in the absence of protective armed forces. He praised the role of Pakistan’s forces in safeguarding national borders, asserting that their strength prevents adversaries from looking upon Pakistan unfavorably. The governor also commented on the historical context of independence from India, noting ongoing attempts by India to undermine Pakistan, which he claimed are consistently thwarted due to the capabilities of Pakistan’s military forces.
