Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori graced the closing ceremony of the Sindh Craft Festival, acknowledging the exceptional skills of local artisans. The event, which celebrated the rich cultural heritage of the province, also saw the participation of caretaker Provincial Minister for Culture, Antiquities and Archives, Sports, Youth Affairs Syed Junaid Ali Shah, and Caretaker Minister for Information Muhammad Ahmad Shah.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori, while touring various stalls at the festival, praised the products crafted by the local artisans. He emphasized the importance of providing platforms for these artisans to showcase and sell their work without any fees.
Governor Tesori proposed the establishment of marts and sales outlets in arts councils and other locations throughout the province to support and promote local artistry. He highlighted the festival as a testament to the talent and hard work of Sindh’s artisans.
Moreover, the Governor suggested the activation of endowment committees under the Department of Culture and Sports. He advocated for the development of tourist sites in the province, which would not only showcase Sindh’s cultural and artistic heritage but also educate people about its various tourist destinations.
This event underlines the government’s commitment to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of Sindh and supporting the livelihoods of its artisans.
