Karachi: During a ceremony marking the Diamond Jubilee of Pakistan’s “Objectives Resolution,” Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori emphasized the resolution’s historical significance in shaping the country’s foundation on Islamic democracy and ideals. The event, titled “Nishan Liaquat,” celebrated the enduring influence of these principles on Pakistan’s governance and societal values.
According to Sindh Governor House, the Governor underscored the resolution’s impact, set on March 12, 1949, which has guided the nation’s policies towards justice, equality, and the protection of fundamental rights. He praised the contributions of Quaid Millat Liaquat Ali Khan, noting that the values of religious and social freedoms remain vital under the current leadership, echoing the visions of Pakistan’s founding fathers. Governor Tesori also expressed a commitment to enhancing Pakistan’s stature on the global economic stage, building on the groundwork laid by the “Objectives Resolution.”
