Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori has issued directives to high-ranking officials across various departments to ensure adequate public services and safety measures are in place for the upcoming Ashura observance during Muharram.
According to Sindh Governor House, the letters were sent to the Additional Chief Secretary Local Government, Inspector General of Sindh Police, Director General of Traffic, and heads of K Electric, HESCO, CEPCO, and the Water Board, emphasizing the importance of maintaining water supply, electricity, sanitation, and traffic coordination throughout the event. The Governor instructed these authorities to collaborate with stakeholders to refine traffic plans and enhance safety protocols.
Additionally, the Governor addressed the need for sufficient funding for infrastructure improvements, including road carpeting and street lighting, to facilitate the observances.
