Governor Sindh and Minister of State Highlight IT Initiatives and Community Efforts

Karachi: Minister of State for IT and Communication Shiza Fatima Khawaja met with Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori at the Governor’s House to discuss the significance of IT and communication in modern development. The meeting addressed the ongoing IT courses and other issues of importance.

According to Sindh Governor House, the Governor emphasized that IT and communication are critical components of contemporary progress. The IT courses currently underway at the Governor’s House, under the Governor’s Initiative, are being extended across the province. Minister of State Shiza Fatima praised the initiative, noting the government’s commitment to IT and communications.

During their visit to the IT marquee, Governor Tesori highlighted the program’s impact, noting that it accommodates fifty thousand students in thirty-two weekly classes, with certifications from the University of Karachi. The initiative, which charges no fees, aims to empower youth to support their families and contribute to the economy.

The Minister of State also reviewed other community projects, including the ration drive and the “Bell of Hope.” She commended the Governor’s efforts in reducing the distance between the public and the Governor’s House, and emphasized the importance of IT courses in fostering economic self-sufficiency among young people.
