Karachi: During his address at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan ceremony, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori emphasized the critical role of digital technology in driving modern development and innovation within the financial sector.

According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori praised the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan for their initiatives that align with contemporary digital advancements. He highlighted the essential nature of adapting the financial system to the demands of the digital age to ensure rapid development. The Governor remarked on the current government’s commitment to leveraging digital technology, noting that significant steps are being taken to integrate modern IT education and solve problems online.

Governor Tesori also detailed his efforts over the past 20 months, including distributing ration bags to lakhs of people and providing modern IT education to over 50,000 youths at the Governor’s House. He mentioned funding initiatives for promising personal business proposals and emphasized the need to prepare future generations for technological competitiveness, referencing the advancements of neighboring countries.

Additionally, he discussed the Sindh International Finance Centre (SIFC) project, which aims to position the country at the forefront of international investment and development through comprehensive support to foreign investors. The event concluded with the Governor awarding the Digital Technology Award to recognize high-performing financial institutions.
