Karachi, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori has reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people, emphasizing that he will continue to raise his voice for their rights. Speaking at a Hi-Tea event hosted by the Association of Builders and Developers (ABAD) at Abad House, Governor Tesori highlighted the importance of public service and the need for continued efforts to improve the lives of Sindh’s residents.
According to Sindh Governor House, the event was attended by Chairman ABAD Asif Sim Sim, former Chairman ABAD Mohsin Sheikhani, and former senior Chairman ABAD Ibrahim Habib, who welcomed Governor Tesori. During his address, Tesori stated that even if he is not in his current position, he will persist in advocating for the rights of the people and working towards a better future for Sindh.
Governor Tesori mentioned several ongoing initiatives, including the distribution of Rs. 2 billion worth of ration and IT courses for 50,000 children, with plans to expand these courses across Sindh, including Hyderabad. He also shared his vision for developing Karachi, proposing to build 100-storey buildings on Shahrah Faisal from Karachi Airport to eliminate obstacles to growth. Tesori emphasized that facing challenges is essential, and with perseverance, the economic crisis can be overcome.
The Governor called for all stakeholders to work together to address pressing issues and suggested that ABAD propose legislation to strengthen the construction industry. He assured the attendees that he would advocate on their behalf to the Prime Minister and the federal government to solve their problems. He also stated that involving the Sindh Infrastructure Fund Corporation (SIFC) with ABAD would be beneficial, and he plans to write a letter to the SIFC to ensure their participation.
Chairman ABAD Asif Sim Sim praised Governor Tesori’s commitment to the city, stating that he has done more than others before him, despite having limited authority. Sim Sim described Tesori as a public governor who stays in touch with the people, contributing to the city’s well-being through tangible actions.
Governor Tesori’s focus on serving the people and encouraging collaboration among stakeholders reflects his vision for a more prosperous Sindh, with IT and the construction industry playing pivotal roles in driving economic growth.
