Governor of Sindh Leads Candlelight Vigil in Solidarity with Palestinians

KARACHI, In a powerful gesture of solidarity, Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, along with a broad spectrum of society, illuminated the premises outside the Governor’s House with candles to support the Palestinians.

According to a new release by Sindh Governor House, the vigil drew participants from various segments of society, encompassing diverse religious backgrounds, including Hindu, Christian, and Sikh communities. Addressing the gathering, Governor Tesori condemned the attacks on Palestinians, highlighting instances such as the targeting of refugee camps, churches, and hospitals as evidence of the severity of the situation.

Emphasizing Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause, Tesori called upon the international community to take cognizance of the actions of Israeli forces. He also appealed to media representatives in attendance to amplify the event and the sentiment of solidarity with Palestinians.

The Governor underscored the importance of unity, both in supporting the Palestinians and in navigating Pakistan’s economic challenges. He acknowledged the collective voice of all political parties in Pakistan expressing concern over the Palestinian issue. Expressing his commitment to the cause, Governor Tesori revealed plans to further raise his voice against the situation in countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada. He expressed gratitude to the interfaith attendees and mentioned his forthcoming trip to Egypt to provide aid for the Palestinians.
