Governor of Sindh Announces Jobs for IT-Trained Youth Under International Collaboration


Karachi: In a significant development, Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesuri announced that children completing IT courses under the Governor’s Initiative will be offered jobs in various countries, as per agreements with consuls general from those nations. This initiative aims to transform Sindh into a hub for IT excellence.



According to Sindh Governor House, the announcement was made during a press conference following a meeting with consuls general and members of the Entrepreneur Organization Karachi at the Governor House. Governor Tesuri highlighted the collaborative effort aimed at preparing and placing Sindh’s youth in global IT roles, reflecting a robust international interest in the region’s emerging IT talent.



The governor detailed that these job offers are not just opportunities abroad but are part of a broader strategy to bolster the local IT sector, potentially keeping talent within the country by ensuring lucrative employment opportunities at home. This initiative aligns with broader efforts to enhance Sindh’s economic development through technology and education, a priority for the provincial government.



Furthermore, the Governor appreciated the support from various national leaders and the military in integrating IT education and employment into major developmental projects, which he believes will significantly contribute to Pakistan’s economic landscape. The initiative is seen as a pivotal step in making Sindh an ideal province for IT and innovation.
