Governor of Sindh Announces Grand Celebration and Public Access at Governor House for 12th Rabi’ul Awwal

Karachi: Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesori announced plans for a grand celebration at the Governor’s House on the 12th of Rabi’ul Awwal, during which the Governor House gates will be open to the public. In an effort to mark the occasion, the Governor also indicated his intention to discuss potential public holidays on the 11th and 12th Rabi’ul Awwal with the Prime Minister and the Chief Minister of Sindh.

According to Sindh Governor House, the announcement was made during a meeting attended by Governor Balochistan Sheikh Jafar Khan Mandukhel and several notable scholars, including Maulana Kokab Okarvi, Jameel Ratho, and Mufti Muhammad Nazir Jan. The meeting also addressed the preparations for the religious processions and rallies expected on this significant day in the Islamic calendar, with special instructions to ensure adequate security and sanitation measures. The Governor emphasized the importance of the day, marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad, and called for unity and cooperation among the populace to foster national development and prosperity.

Governor Tesori further highlighted that the same elaborate stage setup used for previous national celebrations would be utilized to enhance the festivities. He also responded to queries about municipal preparations, urging Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab to expedite road repairs and other infrastructure improvements ahead of the celebrations. This proactive approach underscores the Governor’s commitment to a successful and inclusive event, celebrating a pivotal moment in Islamic history.
