Governor Mandukhel Urges Priority for Balochistan Highways to Enhance Regional Connectivity


Quetta: Governor of Balochistan, Jafar Khan Mandukhel, has directed the National Highway Authority to prioritize the development of key national highways in the province, focusing on quality, efficiency, and timely completion. The emphasis on these projects, particularly the Karachi to Chaman N25 and Quetta to Doab N50 highways, aims to improve regional connectivity and support economic growth.



According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, during a briefing with Basharat Hussain, Member of the National Highway Authority West Zone, Governor Mandukhel highlighted the critical role of national highways in the development of the country and provinces. He noted the need for careful management of construction tasks to ensure that contractors complete their work on schedule, which also holds them accountable.



Governor Mandukhel stressed the importance of using standard materials and adhering to pre-approved structures for highway construction to maintain quality standards. He also called for accelerating the construction of all bridges in the province and emphasized the construction of a flyover near Western Bypass Khizi Chowk in Quetta, which he believes will ease traffic flow, reduce congestion, and promote economic development in the area.
