Quetta, In a significant statement on higher education in Balochistan, Governor Jafar Khan Mandokhel emphasized the importance of quality over quantity in the province’s universities. During a discussion with Turbat University’s Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. John Muhammad, Governor Mandokhel articulated his vision for elevating educational standards across the region.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Governor Mandokhel pointed out that while expanding the number of educational institutions is beneficial, especially in a developing area like Balochistan, the ultimate goal should be enhancing quality. He expressed his aspiration for Balochistan’s universities to be recognized not just for their number but for their excellence, aspiring to see them ranked among the top institutions in the country.
The meeting highlighted the need for modernizing educational approaches and curricula to meet contemporary demands. Governor Mandokhel urged the leadership of Turbat University to adopt innovative strategies and focus on capacity building to transform the existing educational infrastructure into one of high caliber.
Governor Balochistan also lauded the current efforts at the University of Turbat, encouraging further expansion in teaching modern skills to the local populace, which would align with the evolving needs of the time and foster greater educational outcomes in the province.
