Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, announced that the largest Independence Day celebration in history will take place at the Governor House today, featuring an unprecedented fireworks display. The celebration will include performances by prominent artists and athletes, along with the distribution of over a thousand prizes to attendees.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori, speaking to the media at the Governor House, detailed the scope of the festivities, which include performances by renowned singer Atif Aslam and a special appearance by gold medalist Arshad Nadeem. The Governor highlighted the installation of a team of fireworks experts from Dubai to manage what is touted as the largest fireworks display in Pakistan’s history.
The Governor emphasized the inclusive nature of the event, noting that food stalls at the venue would offer various meals for just one rupee, in addition to free mineral water and cold drinks for attendees. The event will also feature a laser show and preparations for a drone show are currently underway.
Governor Tesori invited the public to arrive at the Governor House by 7 pm to partake in the celebrations. He expressed enthusiasm about providing entertainment for millions of attendees, emphasizing the event’s role in enhancing community and national spirit.
