Quetta: Governor Balochistan Jafar Khan Mandokhel underscored the growing significance of regional alliances in international politics, citing the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Summit in Islamabad as a pivotal example. The summit, set for October 15-16, reflects a strategic shift where regional collaborations are increasingly influencing global dynamics.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, Governor Mandokhel elaborated on the transformative impact of such alliances, noting that the SCO Summit will not only enhance Pakistan’s global image but also bolster economic stability and development within the region. The event will welcome world leaders from Russia, China, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Iran, and other SCO member countries, potentially increasing investment opportunities in Pakistan.

The governor emphasized that the SCO, representing about 40 percent of the world’s population, is crucial for fostering economic cooperation, trade, and people-to-people contacts among its members. He advocated for the organization to take decisive steps toward enhancing friendly relations and cooperation across the region. The 23rd Summit of the Heads of State aims to balance internationalism, regionalism, and nationalism, which Mandokhel described as essential for shaping the future of international politics.
