Governor House Rain Emergency Cell in Karachi Responds to Flood Victims’ Calls for Aid


Karachi: Amidst recent severe weather conditions, the Rain Emergency Cell located at the Governor House in Karachi remains operational around the clock, handling a surge in calls from flood-affected residents across the province. People from various regions including Mirpur Khas, Jacobabad, Khairpur, and Larkana are reaching out to the emergency cell, seeking immediate assistance with drainage, rations, and financial support.



According to Sindh Governor House, the emergency cell was established on the orders of Governor Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, to address the challenges posed by the ongoing rainfalls. The cell has been actively receiving and responding to calls, with the primary focus on providing swift relief to the callers. Each request is promptly forwarded to the relevant authorities to ensure timely aid. In addition, many callers have expressed their gratitude towards Governor Sindh for the quick responses and relief efforts.

Governor Tesori has also instructed that the situation be closely monitored from the Governor House to better coordinate the relief operations throughout the province.
