Government to Take Legal Action Against Threats to Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa

Islamabad: In a determined response to life threats against Chief Justice Qazi Faez Isa, the Pakistani government has announced its plans to counteract what it perceives as a malicious campaign motivated by political interests.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif and Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal expressed their concerns at a joint press conference. They denounced the use of religious rhetoric to incite violence and confirmed that legal measures would be pursued to ensure such threats do not recur.

The ministers reiterated the judiciary’s stance on the belief in the finality of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), emphasizing that this core tenet remains uncontested. The government’s stance reflects a broader call for national unity and a concerted effort to maintain societal peace amidst potential turmoil.
