Government to Boost Telemedicine for Home-Based Care, Says Health Minister


Karachi: The Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulation and Coordination, Syed Mustafa Kamal, announced the government’s plan to enhance telemedicine services, aiming to deliver healthcare directly to citizens’ homes.



During his visit to the Central Drugs Laboratory in Karachi, Kamal addressed the media, revealing ongoing efforts to liberalize the pharmaceutical market. He also indicated that authorities are preparing to initiate a crackdown on counterfeit medicines.



When asked about President Asif Ali Zardari’s health, Kamal expressed his wishes for the president’s speedy recovery.



In response to inquiries about the establishment of a hospital or trauma center on the Hyderabad-Karachi Motorway, Kamal mentioned that the Prime Minister would soon make an official announcement regarding the project.
