Islamabad, August 02, 2021 (PPI-OT):Special Representative for Religious Harmony Tahir Ashrafi held a meeting with Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhary Fawad Hussain in Islamabad on Monday and discussed matters pertaining to maintaining law and order situation in Muharram ul Haram and implementation of Paigham-e-Pakistan code of conduct. In his remarks, Chaudhary Fawad Hussain said that the government is taking all possible steps for the maintenance of law and order situation in Muharram. In this regard, the role of Pakistan Ulema Council and Muttahida Ulema Board for religious harmony is highly appreciable.

Chaudhary Fawad Hussain said Islam preaches peace, harmony, tolerance and patience. He said the media has an important role for promotion of religious harmony in the country. The Information Minister said some elements are playing in the hands of enemy to fan sectarianism in the country. He said these elements will never succeed in their designs. Hafiz Tahir Hussain Ashrafi said religious scholars of all schools of thought reject extremist mind-set. He said that security will be maintained at all costs during Muharram ul Haram.
