Government takes legislative measures to protect rights of women: Zartaj

Islamabad, June 22, 2021 (PPI-OT): The government has taken bold legislative measures to protect rights of women and prevent sexual crimes in the country keeping in view our religious, cultural and moral values. This was stated by Minister of State for Climate Change, Zartaj Gul while addressing a news conference along with Parliamentary Secretaries Malika Bukhari and Kanwal Shozab in Islamabad this afternoon.

She said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has successfully mobilized women participation in politics and Prime Minister Imran Khan is committed for women empowerment to ensure provision of their rights in letter and spirit. Speaking on the occasion, Parliamentary Secretary of Law and Justice Malika Bukhari said the Prime Minister has issued directions to Law Ministry to take early and bold steps to prevent harassment of women and children and sexual violence.
