Government Plans to Establish Federal Tourism Promotion Entity, Says Minister Ahsan Iqbal


Islamabad: Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal announced the government’s plans to set up a federal entity dedicated to promoting tourism, highlighting it as a key aspect of its economic reforms agenda. Speaking at an event on Friday, Iqbal emphasized the importance of collaboration with provincial governments to overcome infrastructure challenges in the tourism sector.



According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the new entity will aim to capitalize on Pakistan’s substantial tourism potential. The Minister mentioned that engaging relevant stakeholders is crucial for maximizing earnings from the tourism industry, which could contribute billions of dollars to the national economy. The initiative is part of a broader strategy to bolster economic growth through enhanced tourism activities across the country.
