Government Lowers Petrol Price by Rs4, Diesel Price Remains Steady

Islamabad: The government has announced a reduction in the petrol price by four rupees per litre, while the price of High-Speed Diesel remains unchanged. This adjustment in fuel prices is effective immediately, as per the latest notification.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) has issued a notification detailing the revised ex-depot prices. The price of petrol is now set at 377.78 rupees per litre, down from the previous 381.78 rupees per litre. Meanwhile, the price of High-Speed Diesel continues to be 380.78 rupees per litre.

This decision comes as part of the government’s regular review of fuel pricing, reflecting changes in the international market and domestic considerations. The unchanged diesel price suggests a strategic decision to stabilize costs in sectors heavily reliant on diesel fuel.
